Design

KTPL prepare the General Arrangement Drawing of bridges to meet the requirements of vehicular traffic duly considering various factors such as Topography, Soil Investigation, Waterway, Construction Feasibility etc. Detailed analysis is done using advanced software and the designs we make are governed by the expertise that we have received from our legacy. We continuously strive to achieve structural safety, maintainability, durability and economy in our designs.As the proof checking services, KTPL scrutinize the Concept, Calculations & Detailing as proposed by the designer of bridges from the Client’s end.

Planning

As the Detailed Project Report (DPR) services, we check for conceptual feasibility of a project. KTPL evaluate the project on the environmental, social & financial aspects. The environmental aspect includes environmental impact assessment (EIA) and Environment management plan (EMP), the social aspect includes social impact assessment & a rehabilitation plan if required for project and the financial aspect includes cost benefit ratio and financial feasibility of project. KTPL also study the engineering of project in detail and review the vertical and horizontal geometry, detail structural drawings etc.

As a part of Feasibility Study Service (FS) services, KTPL undertake Topographic Surveys, Traffic Surveys, Traffic Demand Forecasting & Capacity Analysis. KTPL also study the Pavement Conditions & Overlay Designs, Flexible and Rigid Pavement Design. Hydrological and Drainage Studies, Design of Junctions and Intersections, Traffic Signage, Traffic Signals and Road Markings are some of the components of the feasibility study services that we provide. We also design culverts & the drainage system of bridges, prepare land plans, road safety and traffic management plans for our clients.

Supervision

As the Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services, KTPL manage, execute and implement the project, KTPL are responsible to ensure the quality of the work being done as per the specifications of our client. KTPL also undertake construction management, testing and quality control of the works done.

As the Authority’s Engineer (AE) services, we review the EPC Contractor’s design, consultant drawings and give approval based on the detailed engineering study and the requirements enumerated by the government authority in its tender document, review the quality assurance plan of the contractor and approve the material source and the materials used in the construction. It is also our responsibility to undertake review of the project progress and ensure its timely completion.

As the Independent Engineer (IE) services we review the Concessionere Design Drawing, Construction Activities and approve them based on schedules to ensure Concession Agreement. KTPL also review the Quality Assurance Plans, Material Sources and Material Mix to ensure quality. KTPL also suggest the stage of work to the client and assist the client for utilities works.
